Glittering and elegant, this is an incredibly beautiful beaded flapper purse, circa 1925, with an unusual Art Deco design!

Tiny seed beads on a cream background make up the geometric and floral design. Cream colored beads make up the ground and fringe. Faceted gold tone and smooth silver tone beads, along with black beads form the design. The silver beads accent the fringe and each string of the fringe is tipped with 3 tiny black beads.

The lining is cream colored and is sturdy and clean. There is a pleated interior pocket. The unmarked frame is sturdy and straight and the clasp is tight. The lining may be a replacement. 

The double chain handle shows patina and is strong. A fabulous addition to your collection and will display beautifully!

Measurements:  Measures 7 3/8” long plus 3 1/4” of fringe and 5 ¾” wide.

Condition:  In very good condition. One fringe strand is missing, but is hardly noticeable. On one side, a row of beads is missing, but bead movement almost makes it invisible. Reinforcing stitches have been made along the top on one side where the beads and lining are attached to the frame. (See Photo) Also, neat repairs have been made to the side seams.
